Aspirant Procedures
The Labouré Society facilitates three grant programs assisting vocations to Catholic priestly and religious life "Through student loan resolution."
1. The John Paul the Great Grant Provides grants to qualified men entering seminary in preparation for service as priests (diocesan or religious) 2. The Mother Teresa Grant provides grants to qualified women preparing to enter vowed religious life. 3. The Brother André Grant provides grants to qualified men preparing to enter vowed religious life.
After a meticulous grant application and allocation process, The Labouré Society issues a grant that repays student loans while the recipient is in formation for priestly and/or religious life. Any remaining student loans are resolved at the time of vows or ordination. In the rare case that the individual discerns they are not called to be a priest or religious, they bring their formation to bear in raising holy famlies and building up our Catholic communities. These individuals do not repay The Labouré Society for the payments made during their formation, but they do resume full responsibility for their student loans immediately. The great majority of our grant recipients persist in priestly and religious vocations.
