Labouré Aspirant, Sarah Meier, Visits Labouré Alum, Sister Veronica at Bethlehem Monastery

sarah-meier-and-sister-veronicaI had a delightful visit to Bethlehem Monastery June 9-16, including talking with Mother Vicaress (also the Novice Mistress), Cecelia, Sr. Angelique, and Sr. Veronica during recreation time! I also enjoyed working with Rev. Mother Abbess trimming trees, and with Mother Vicaress and the novitiate Sisters in the vegetable garden! The warm welcome of the professed Sisters was relayed in their care for my meals, my whereabouts, and other concerns. I had a delightful, prayerful, and restorative visit, and an excellent internal preparation for my fast-approaching day of entrance in July (pending fundraising outcome and final award from Labouré)!

I also had the opportunity to speak at St. Bede’s for the weekend Masses during my visit! I am very grateful for the warm welcome and generous support of the parishioners at St. Bede’s, and for Msgr. Keeney’s invitation to share my story and the mission of Labouré, and for the help of Ginger, Administrative Assistant to Msgr. Keeney, in making the arrangements! God bless all who have responded so readily to the nudge of the Holy Spirit!
