The Labouré Society Endorsements

The Labouré Society has instilled in me a sense of gratitude, both for the strong commitment of The Society’s members to the important project of fostering priestly and religious vocations, and for the very evident fruits of that commitment and good work. I am pleased to embrace my new role of Spiritual Advisor, and I ask your prayers that God will bless our shared endeavors. I invite you to join me in invoking the intercession of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, that more and more young men and women will find their way into seminaries, parishes, convents, monasteries, schools, and hospitals, to carry on the saving mission of the Church in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!”

Most Reverend Lee A. Piché , Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul & Minneapolis

I speak with many young women who have heard the call of God to enter the consecrated religious life. These are beautiful souls who have fallen in love with Jesus Christ and His Church and want nothing but to give the whole of their lives – possessions, affections and will – to Him whom they love. For many, only student debt holds them back from following this call of love. The sobering reality of major debt can often discourage such candidates. Not only does The Labouré Society offer practical means of quickly paying back such debt, but it gives hope to these women that following the call is indeed possible.

The other beautiful aspect of The Labouré Society is that it enables lay members of the Church to become active participants in the beauty and gift of vocation. These lay faithful, by becoming benefactors to candidates for the priestly and religious life, are drawn into a web of grace that will last into eternity. Such a gift will not be forgotten.

God Bless you for the help the Labouré Society is giving. As I teach here at Catholic University and try to give witness to the joys of my religious priesthood, I am increasingly impressed by men and women like yourself, who are praying, sacrificing, and encouraging young people desirious of entering priesthood and/or religious life. God will certainly reward you over and over again. Be assured of my prayers.

The Laboure Society is one of the Spirit's responses to the obstacles facing those who seek to radically follow Christ in our day.  Not only do they provide financial resources but also much needed encouragement, intercession and friendship for Aspirants and communities alike.  They truly meet the standard of cheerful givers who seek a bountiful harvest of new vocations in the Church. (cf. 2 Cor 9:7).
